Two years ago we wanted to go to Karpathos, but the trip was cancelled. This time we succeeded with Apollo.
We
arrived mid afternoon at hotel Zephyros Village, a lovely family run hotel
where the hosts Andreas and Maria along with their daughter Sophia were nice and helpful and gave
their guests a very nice time.
We had a one room appartment with a balcony from which we could see the ocean.

We took a stroll to the center of Pigadia. According to Google it
should be a walk of 500 meters but it seemed much longer. Later we
heard someone describing it as "The Deathroute". Well it wasn't that bad.
The town was a bit empty on a sunday afternoon but by evening there were a lot of tavernas and shops and people.

Quite near to our hotel was Taverna Pelagos. Of course Lone ordered lamb chops ...

It was nice and cozy at the taverna. At 8.30 the owner and two others began to sing and play. They were really good.
We didn't stay long because we started getting tired.
